What was the highlight of Ocean el Faro Resort

Overall a pleasant stay but lacked cleanliness and service

Very friendly staff, the room was very spacious, and the restaurants were really good, especially Sakura. Also, the pools were really fun.

The cleaning crew barely cleaned our room, and we found pieces of fake nails in our bathroom from a past guest or the staff. Also, room service took more than an hour to arrive, and the food was always cold. The buffet wasn't that great. Most of the food was cold or felt a bit old. The check-in process was long!

The hotel has many amenities. Excellent food and good staff.

When we arrived the room smelled bad, it was very humid and the air conditioner didn't work well. Then they changed our room and although it smelled a little damp, but it was much better.

Loved our stay and would come back!

beautiful resort, best hotel lobby I have ever seen. super nice staff. Iandi from Italian restaurant was so accommodating! when I didn’t have reservations he still helped to provide my 3 year old with her favorite Mozarella sticks through the week.

not much to say here. the shuttles could be more frequent but not a big deal to walk.

My overall experience was good. Really enjoyed the amenities and all the restaurants and bars.

The fruit was excellent.

Wanted more USA food options on the buffet. The refrigerator in the room needed to be colder.

The variety of things to do at the hotel.

The drink machines on the beach need to be cleaned. Got food poisoning twice. The first time couldn't narrow it down but after I got sick again after only being at the beach I figured out it's not as sanitary.

I would visit again because I had a great time My husband hurt his back on day one after falling from the hammock.

The staff was extremely attentive and nice . I will come back just for the staff ️️. . The staff was so great!!! I wish my husband could be more involved but he hur his back after the hammock broke . I paid a total of 5,000 for my trip and love it . I wish my husband could of enjoyed it also .

I just could not get much to eat for breakfast . I do not eat pork and just wanted some turkey or beef products for. Breakfast . I read lots of reviews for the burgers and they were correct .They were the worse I ever had . How do you mess up a burger . They did have some really good food choices for dinner during the buffet . My husband got hurt by falling out of the hammock that broke. No one was concerned about his health except Elvin . He was so nice and attentive anxiously asked how things were going. My husband was hurt there and they wanted to charge 200 for the doctor’s visit . Room service can be improved The staff was extremely nice but sitting in a presentation for 2.5 hours was extremely difficult. They did compensate you with a nice gift . I was promised a gift for myself and husband. We only received one gift to share . The furniture in the main lobby could use an update. Most of the cushions had visible stains in them . They could stand a cleaning at least once per week .

What was the highlight of Ocean el Faro Resort

Beautiful resort, bad food.

We stayed in 2 Privilege Beach Suites with Hot Tubs and the rooms were beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the view was lovely. The resort is beautifully decorated throughout. The kids' playground and Lazy River were a big hit too (just bring your own floatie if you don't feel like forking out $15 for one there as they're not included).

With the exception of breakfasts, the food at this resort (even the Privilege options) was absolutely the worst food we've encountered anywhere in the world (first holiday we've been on that we didn't pick up weight so might be a good thing!). There is a great selection of fancy liquor for Privilege clients but unless you're willing to pay more for wines, you'll have to stick to their horrid house red and white. Also really difficult to get ice for the room (you need to use room service which takes a long time so plan ahead). Beware the 'not timeshare' breakfast sales pitch you'll get upon arrival. They are very pushy and don't appear to give you an option of attending. We eventually agreed to make him stop then cancelled in the morning to get out of it. The Beach Privilege staff were lovely and helpful, but we found the Privilege staff member at the pool particularly awful. She very rudely told us to get off the day bed unless we paid $20 an hour for its use. Pretty gross considering Privilege was supposed to get you use of the Bali daybeds. Either she was wrong (and rude) or there is some fine print on the Privilege option that we didn't see. There is no soap etc. For the bath, which is a problem because the soap bottles are locked up on the basin and shower walls. Minor but a little annoying. It would also be helpful if the hotel arranged transfers. They do not, despite what it might say on their website. We arranged one privately that worked out, but it feels weird that a resort of this size doesn't have an arrangement with a trusted service.

Everything was closed to our room! The staff was mostly friendly! The slow river was very good! The pools! Food! Restaurants at night had quality food!

It was nice just not enough entertainment for teens or adults

Size of room our butler was nice . Beach area was nice !

Some staff was great some not too great ! Mostly great staff and customer service until the weekend ! Could have had more pools and things to do for teenagers

Spaces were amazing. Great decoration, food, and drinks delicious, all staff were very nice and kind.

No hair dryer nor clothes iron in the room. No animation at the disco. Little to do late night.
